How to Prepare for Your New Patient appointment with potential testing
To help you prepare for your visit, please review the information below.
Please be aware, we are unable to receive text replies. If you have questions about your appointment, need to cancel or reschedule, please call us @ 503-228-0155.
Please ALWAYS bring a current insurance card with you to your visit. Plans are often updated or slightly modified especially at the beginning of a year. We will need to check your card each visit for any changes and scan if needed. Incorrect insurance billing information can cause delays in processing your claim and cause charges to be transferred to you until correct information is obtained. If you are covered by more than one insurance, please bring ALL insurance cards to your visit.
Additionally, please bring a valid photo ID to your visit. If the patient is a minor, please have a parent/guardians photo ID available.
This appointment is scheduled to potentially include skin testing. Do not take antihistamines or high doses of vitamin C (>1000 mg per day) for 5 days prior to your appointment. Click here for a full list of medications to stop for skin testing and those that can be continued: www.allergyclinic.net/medicationsinfo
If you are being seen for asthma, continue asthma medications. If you are also on antihistamines and stopping antihistamines worsens your asthma, then DO NOT STOP TAKING ANTIHISTAMINES. It is not possible to do skin testing if asthma is not controlled. Continue all medications and, if appropriate, skin testing can be scheduled for a future appointment.
Parking validation is available for Smart Park (10th & Yamhill). Get more information about the location and how to use the new validation codes on our patient resources page: https://www.allergyclinic.net/patient-resources
