Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he moved to Kansas City at age four. He attended the University of Kansas Medical School, graduating in the top 10 of his class. After relocating to Portland in 2000, Dr. Khalili completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where he trained under two internationally recognized experts in allergy and immunology, Emil Bardana, Jr., MD, and Anthony Montanaro, MD. He then completed a two-year academic fellowship in Internal Medicine before pursuing Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, studying under Dr. Sami Bahna, a globally respected authority on allergic diseases and food allergy. His fellowship provided extensive training in both pediatric and adult allergy, enabling him to care for patients of all ages. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Khalili is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in leading American and European allergy journals, covering topics such as food allergies, immune deficiencies, mold-related illnesses, drug allergies, and asthma assessment. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
